QUICK REFERENCE
BREWING ESSENTIALS
COFFEE RATIO
Start with 1:15 to 1:17 (coffee to water) for most methods. Adjust to taste.
WATER TEMPERATURE
195-205°F (90-96°C) is ideal. Never use boiling water directly on coffee.
GRIND FRESHNESS
Grind beans just before brewing for maximum flavor and aroma extraction.

BREWING METHODS
FRENCH PRESS
Use freshly roasted beans and grind just before brewing for the best flavor.
STEP BY STEP
- Heat water to 200°F (93°C)
- Add coarsely ground coffee to the press
- Pour hot water over grounds, saturating evenly
- Wait 30 seconds, then stir gently
- Place lid on and let steep for 4 minutes
- Press plunger down slowly and serve immediately
POUR OVER
A gooseneck kettle gives you better control over your pour rate and placement.
STEP BY STEP
- Place filter in dripper and rinse with hot water
- Add medium-fine ground coffee to filter
- Pour a small amount of water to bloom (30 seconds)
- Continue pouring in slow, circular motions
- Maintain a steady stream, avoiding the edges
- Total brew time should be 3-4 minutes
AEROPRESS
Experiment with inverted method for a fuller extraction.

- Insert filter and rinse with hot water
- Add fine-medium ground coffee
- Pour water at 185°F (85°C)
- Stir for 10 seconds
- Insert plunger and wait 1 minute
- Press down slowly over 30 seconds
COLD BREW
The longer you steep, the stronger the concentrate. Start with 12 hours.
STEP BY STEP
- Combine coarsely ground coffee with cold water
- Stir to ensure all grounds are saturated
- Cover and refrigerate for 12-24 hours
- Strain through a fine mesh or filter
- Dilute concentrate with water or milk (1:1)
- Serve over ice and enjoy
ESPRESSO
Dial in your grind size daily as beans age and humidity changes.
STEP BY STEP
- Grind beans to a fine consistency
- Dose 18-20g of coffee into portafilter
- Distribute and tamp evenly with 30lbs pressure
- Lock portafilter and start extraction
- Target 36-40g output in 25-30 seconds
- Serve immediately or use as base for drinks
MOKA POT
Starting with hot water prevents the coffee from getting a burnt taste.
STEP BY STEP
- Fill bottom chamber with hot water to valve
- Add fine-medium ground coffee to filter basket
- Level grounds without tamping
- Assemble pot and place on medium heat
- Remove from heat when you hear gurgling
- Pour immediately and enjoy
